well worth the drive!!!
Reviewer: Davod hanson
I have been looking for the perfect boat for about six months and done probably too much research on everything I wanted in a boat. Then I logged about 600 miles traveling to different kayak stores all over the east, only to be dissappointed everytime. No inventory, no knowledge, and seemingly no time seemed to be the other stores' business model. Then I Found The Kayak Shack in Plattsburgh. They really were passionate about what I wanted in a boat. They listened to what I wanted, Made a few suggestions for me to think about ( which I hadn't even considered) and the literally showed me my "perfect boat" in the first one we looked at. I would have bought the boat right then, but Dave pretty much insisted I take it down to lake champlain with him and try it out (I think he just wanted to go paddle a little bit). he helped me get fitted in "my new boat". and then we proceeded to paddle into one of the most beautiful settings I have ever seen. 5 minutes from the boat launch had me at Valcour Island, a true piece of paradise right in the middle of Lake Champlain. I will drive back up here just to paddle out to the island again. Anyway Great shop, Great prices, Great service!! A+++.
